Committees and Councils
Executive Council
- The Executive Council consists of three elected officers (chair, first vice chair, second vice chair), five ex-officio members (past chair, GSA regional administrator, OPM service center director, sponsoring agency representative, and senior military officer), and 12 elected members (serve a term of three years, 1/3 elected annually)
Local Federal Coordinating Committee
- The Local Federal Coordinating committee oversees the management of the Gateway Combined Federal Campaign for the southeast Illinois and eastern Missouri regions. of three years, 1/3 elected annually)
Gateway Combined Federal Campaign
- The Gateway Combined Federal Campaign is the federal government’s unified fundraising effort and part of the nation’s largest workplace campaign. The CFC includes federal executive, legislative and judicial branch agencies in the Illinois/Missouri counties of Bond.
- In Missouri: Adair, Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Clark, Crawford, Dent, Dunklin, Franklin, Howell, Iron, Jefferson, Knox, Lewis, Lincoln, Linn, Macon, Madison, Marion, Mississippi, Montgomery, New Madrid, Oregon, Pemiscot, Perry, Pike, Putnam, Ralls, Reynolds, Ripley, Schuyler, Scotland, Scott, Shannon, Shelby, St. Charles, St. Francois, Sainte Genevieve, St. Louis, Stoddard, Sullivan, Texas, Warren, Washington and Wayne, plus the City of St. Louis.
- In Illinois: Adams, Bond, Brown, Calhoun, Clinton, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, Pike, Randolph, Schuyler, Scott and St. Clair.
- Federal employees are placed into four divisions:
- Garrison: civilian executive branch agencies, courts and congressional offices
- Eagle: U.S. Postal Service
- Patriot: Department of Defense agencies and Department of Veterans Affairs agencies
- Vanguard: Department of Defense and tenant agencies at Scott Air Force Base
Emergency Response Council
- When an emergency exists, federal agencies need to react responsibly and in unison to protect the well being of the federal workforce and its customers. The FEB role in emergency decisions and notification is that of providing information from up-to-date, consistent and accurate sources. FEB members then make decisions about the status of their respective work places utilizing the information.
Executive Forum Committee
- The Executive Forum committee plans an interactive leadership development training and an opportunity to network with senior federal government leaders and future leaders from the Greater St. Louis Federal Executive Board and the Greater Kansas City Federal Executive Board. The forum constitutes 16 hours of leadership development training
Excellence in Government Committee
- Public Service Recognition Week is an annual celebration during the first week in May. The Excellence in Government committee recognizes and honors the ‘best of the best’ among local federal employees who have achieved the highest in their professions
Public Affairs Committee
- The Public Affairs committee works to educate citizens about the many ways in which federal government employees serve the people of the United States of America and how government services make life better for all.
Workforce Diversity Council
- The Workforce Diversity Council supports the Greater St. Louis Federal Executive Board member agencies in their efforts to ensure and enhance the consideration, value and visibility of diversity at all levels in the federal employment, programs and service delivery. Diversity encompasses all aspects of the American mosaic, including race, color, national origin, age, gender, disability, religion, economic status, culture, and sexual orientation, among others. The councils are comprised of federal employees that the agency leaders nominate to represent their agencies. Members are individuals with an interest in and commitment to diversity who are motivated and enabled to actively support the council’s missions, including work on tasks and projects.
Gateway to Diversity Committee
- The Workforce Diversity Council members plan the annual Gateway to Diversity training. Gateway to Diversity presents current work force issues, insights, and performance in a compact four-hour training program. The target audience is all federal employees from entry level to management.
